Hello Everyone! I recently had the chance to watch an interview with Raul Cuero, a famous microbiologist. The interview was based around his views on creativity and what it means to really be creative. The first thing I took away from the interview was Raul Cuero’s inspiring life story. He came from a poor background in Colombia, where his dream of being a microbiologist was looked at as just that, only a dream. He overcame obstacles including racism and prejudice, accounting all the criticism as motivation to make him stronger. Another thing I took away was Raul Cuero’s opinions on intensity and how much it affects creativity. He drilled into my head that in order to be creative, artists must put all they have into their work. Intensity and passion are key ingredients to the success Raul Cuero achieved. Without them, his crazy dream of being a microbiologist would have never been achieved. Listening to Raul speak made me reflect on my own hope...
